I'm very happy to announce a new major update to HUNDREDS, my big book of d100 tables for Mothership and other sci-fi horror RPGs! As an update with a new table, this means the price has once again gone up by $1, and is now at $6 for the 6 main tables and 4 bonus tables. It also means that HUNDREDS now features 1,000 entries!

The new table, d100 Character Bonds, is a tool that wardens and players alike can use to generate relationships between characters, whether they be player characters or NPCs. From the book:

Finding out who the player characters are mostly emerges from play, but it can be helpful to have some initial seeds to serve as inspiration. Creative groups looking to lean into role-playing may find this table useful during character creation to jump-start their characters and their party’s dynamic. (Wardens may also find this useful for adding flavor to groups of NPCs.)

Each player rolls on this table with the players on either side of them to determine their characters’ relationships: have each player in a pair roll one of the dice in a d100—it takes two to tango. Once they’ve made the roll, they should discuss the details: who’s who, is this a current or former situation, any tweaks to the bond, etc.

Players should write these on their character sheets and keep them in mind during play. Wardens may wish to reward roleplay that builds on or evolves these bonds (e.g. with advantage, advancement, etc.), especially when the roleplay is not beneficial to the characters!
